It took an entire day but finally got all 19 oil labels designed in Photoshop along with the wash and vinegar labels. I knew the look I’d been wanting but had to let the idea ferment in my head before getting down to work. At one time, I thought about drawing all of the artwork myself. But, I was wanting an older look, something that had character and romance.
So, I decided to go with old public domain images. Many of the images found on the new labels come from: old children’s book from 100 years ago, old magazine ads, fairy tales, and even old medical books. I’m very pleased with the way they turned out.
