My yarn doll babies (I call them doll baby poppets) are handmade by me, Papa Gee. Each one is unique and comes with complete instructions for how to care for magical doll babies. Each one is blessed and anointed with the appropriate oils for the situation they were crafted for.
This doll baby is made with the intention of Protection magic. Protection dolls are often kept near the front door or hung in a doorway. If you need to keep your doll baby poppet private, keep it in the room where you sleep. Can also be hung in the car for protection.
Voodoo dolls have a poor reputation due to Hollywood’s portrayal of them being used as weapons. However, the voodoo doll’s original purpose was that of a curative object. It was first used in Britain and has been around for centuries. Typically, they would bring a doll, often called a poppet, that is meant to stand in for a particular individual. Okay, so let’s assume they were ill. Some people may have used prayer or a sort of alternative medicine in which a doll was stuffed with medicinal herbs to treat a patient. At first, then, they represented a positive contribution. We all know that the movie business, in order to attract audiences, must advertise dramatics, and so they have transformed the voodoo doll into something sinister.
