Spirit Doll – small

When I create these Spirit Dolls, I begin with the face and let the doll intuitively tell me what it wants to look like, which fabrics to choose, whether they want hair or feathers, beads or pendants. I feel as if I am being guided by each one who is working with me to tell their creation story. This intuitive process makes each Spirit Doll unique, embodying its own distinct energy and purpose. Each doll is OOAK (one of a kind) and made entirely by me. Some materials used were natural sticks, Spanish moss, fabric, ribbons, feathers, and twine.

When you receive your doll, think about the intention you want to bestow upon it. Do you want it for protection? To give you more courage? To help you speak your mind more? Or possibly just for comfort. Start by holding the doll for a bit and allow it to tell you its story and tell the doll yours. Write out on a piece of paper what you are wanting to achieve and ask the doll to help you on your journey. Place the paper over the doll and wrap the doll in the paper the first night as if you were putting a small blanket on a baby doll, with your writing face down towards the doll to allow you intentions to fill the spirit of the doll overnight. Display where you can see and appreciate the doll. Don’t be hesitant to interact with the doll, sharing your thoughts along your journey.
