This winged Isis pendant is one I made with polymer clay, painted with cobalt blue acrylic paint, dusted with gold mica powder, and then sealed. The mercury dime pictured is to demonstrate size and is not included.
Isis’s wings represent either female falcons or kites, which are raptors with screams resembling those of distressed women. The wings so stand for both strength and mourning. On a magical level, Isis breathes new life into Osiris through her wings. They are the shield positioned over the bodies in the tomb.
